ABOUT THE AUTHOR

GEARY SIKICH leads Logical Management Systems, Corp.'s management advisory
services consulting services (www.logicalmanagement.com). Prior to founding Logical
Management Systems, Corp., in 1985, he served in key management roles for several major
consulting and accounting firms. He has functioned as project director and consultant for
Fortune 10 and Fortune 100 firms addressing some of the highest profile "crisis" situations
throughout the world. Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Sikich is a recognized expert
in
the field of crisis management planning, crisis containment, and business continuity
processes. He is the author of three previous books on crisis management planning:
It Can't Happen Here: All Hazards Crisis Management Planning, (1993, PennWell)
The Emergency Management Planning Handbook, (1995, McGraw-Hill)
The Emergency Management Planning Handbook, Spanish ed., (1998, McGraw-Hill).

Mr. Sikich has published more than 100 articles, papers, and presentations on crisis
management, business continuity, and other management issues. He is a lifetime member of
the Association of Former Intelligence Officers. A graduate of Indiana State University, and
the University of Texas at El Paso, he regularly presents programs for executives and is
recognized internationally as a speaker and symposium leader. Mr. Sikich has lectured on
crisis management system design, business continuity processes, identifying and controlling
vulnerabilities, risk and threat assessment, regulatory compliance, terrorism, workplace
violence prevention, and management decision-making.
